Jim has been in the company of Goldens from the time he was a young boy and his father raised them for hunting companions. Jim and Judy entered their first obedience novice class, at a local show in Lombardy Ontario, in 1990 and qualified for a Companion Dog title on Elsa, who was only 9 months old. Two months later they entered Elsa in her first Working Certificate test along with Sally who was 11 years old. Both Goldens qualified and the Stewarts really got the "bug" for field and obedience work. Their next golden, Kiana, was purchased from Liz Sherren and was to be the first of many dogs to be multi titled. She was one of their first Show Champions and went on to qualify for both Canadian and American Companion Dog Excellent titles, her Working Certificate, Canine Good Citizen, and Temperament Test Certificate. At 17 years of age Kiana is still going strong and is a very special dog indeed. Blueheron is a multi-purpose kennel striving to produce quality dogs that conform to the breed standard for the type and temperament which makes the Golden such a wonderful companion and a joy to live with. Our puppies are all raised and socialized in our home and are sold with a 3 year written health and temperament guarantee. Parents are certified clear for hips, elbows, eyes and heart.
